Blog, Photo, & Video Feeds

Many websites offer feeds to their content by way of XML, Atom, or RSS. These services provide a way to integrate their content into other applications or websites. This is known as content syndication, or aggregation.

RecCenter offers a set of feed tools for a variety of content types -- Blogs, Videos, and Photos. This allows you to "import" content from other sites directly into your RecCenter profile. Once the feed is established, content is updated automatically.

Importing a Feed

Blog, Video, and Photo feeds all pretty much work the exact same way. The main difference in them is how they are categorized and displayed from your profile page.

For example, to add a Blog feed while logged into your Manage page, click on Blogs then Blog Feeds. There you'll see the option to Add Blog Feed. Enter the URL to the feed that you would like to import.

Publishing a Feed

For those that publish their content directly through RecCenter, your content is automatically made available to your readers in the form of a RSS feed.

Here is an example of the URLs to your feeds. Substitute "username" for your profile username.
