Want to tell your friends about the upcoming party or show you are going to attend? Maybe you just want to give them a quick shout. RecCenter allows for you to do both with our messages and bulletin tools.

Messages

Under the messages section of your dashboard, you have multiple options to manage the messages you send and receive.

Unread Messages

This view shows you any unread messages you have received lately from your friends or other people on RecCenter. Once a message has been classified as read, it will be moved into the all messages section. There you have the option to delete all messages or individual messages.

Composing and Sending Messages

Sending messages to your friends or non-friends is simple. To do so, you have two options. On profile pages, there is a link to send a message or you can click on the message's navigation link in your dashboard.

When composing a message, if you type the first couple of letters in your friend's name, a drop down box of friends will appear for you to select from. Please be sure to include a subject line for the message, otherwise it will not be sent.

Bulletins

Using the bulletins area, you can send out a mass message to all your friends. Use this for telling them about upcoming shows, album releases, or the party that is happening this weekend. Posting a bulletin is as simple as clicking either the post bulletin link found under the bulletins section of your dashboard or the link found on the friend's bulletins list.

Friend's Bulletins

Bulletins keep you connected with your friends. Bulletins are similar to private message forums for you and your friends to stay in touch. Use bulletins to post announcements to all of your friends.

A list of the recent bulletins your friend's have posted show up on your dashboard.
