Another apropriate quote for me would be, "I'm becoming less defined as days go by, fading away, well you might say I am losing focus, kinda drifting in the abstract in terms of how I see myself, sometimes I can see right through myself..."--Only by Иine Iиch Иails
This summer I have been working as a ride host at Cedar Point. For those of you who do not know what that is, it has been voted as the number one amusement park ten years in a row. Not to badmouth it or anything, but if we rank so highly, I'd hate to see how deplorable other amusement parks must be. Our biggest downfall, I think, is that we get the biggest, baddest prototype rides and then another place gets the bigger and badder sequel to the ride. "We just love your ride. Could you make one for us but make it taller and faster?" I have worked at the Gemini Children's Area, one of our four kids areas. I have spent most of the summer at the Power Tower. Occassionally I work over at Magnum XL-200. I like working at Power Tower the most. There's just more variety in the rotation of jobs on the ride. Checking seats, relaying hand signals, controlling the ride, assigning seats, and one of my favorites greeting people at the entrance. Okay, it would be my favorite position if so many guests didn't think that it was the entrance for "that blue ride" aka, the Corkscrew. If any of you would be so kind as to suggest to management that we move our entrance over to our employee gate next to the Super Himalaya, directly across from the Top Thrill Dragster, then just maybe they would be so kind as to do that for us.
I am in the process of getting my bachelor's degree in Psychology at The Universiy of Akron. I am taking this semester off. I needed a break from it. As far as credits go, I'm a senior. I really only need about four more classes to graduate, but two of them are only available in the spring semester anyways. By then I should be ready to focus again.
