Went to Portland Sept 17-20, 2007 for interviews regarding comic book work and got both jobs! One is for inking and storyboards, which will improve my skills in this area, and I sold an idea and am now developing the characters, major and minor, and refining the storyline. Its all very exciting! I stayed at a hostel in the SE Hawthorne area for 2 days, and then for the last 2 days, I stayed at the Ace Hotel. It was sick and I loved it and had the best time!! Yeah crazy landlord season - long story short - my one landlord is a bit unbalanced and takes no responsibility for her actions so she is a dumba**. She had the nerve to open a bank statement of mine, and then claim she thought it was hers, and suddenly my rent was raised?? Hmmmm can we say FEDERAL charges and jailtime? She also said that I have mental issues and should see a shrink. No not me - I think she needs the shrink more than I. So I am moving on Halloween morning! To a new place, 2 bedrooms, way more space, and the mgr of the suite is very nice. The ppl who live upstairs are also very nice. So looking forward to that, NOT. I hate moving and I know no one who likes to move. I am also full time at the hospital and have taken jobs for the house photographer of a rehersal space for local punks bands, and am getting into the fashion-esta photography. That's kind of boring but fun in some ways. So life is looking up!
