I went out last night, as I do every tuesday night, to see Sami play with Trampled Under Foot. This time, everything was different. Sami had so so so so so much stage presence. It was like in just one week that talented young girl was replaced by a rockstar in the making. She was schooling brandon, who was rocking out harder than I've ever seen anyone rock live on a steel guitar... She was full of smiles and energy, and was bending strings like a motherfucker. Then Walker came up and played guitar with her, and Danielle was on the bass... and it was like suddenly sam's aura swelled... it was brilliant as shit... her and walker have soo much chemistry... then, when all was said and done, there was an a capela "Mercedes Benz" and Amanda was all blown away that of everyone at our table, I knew all the words. I explained to her that somewhere, there's a video of me, at 6 years old, christmas morning, with a karayoke machine, singing that song. And that was the only song I knew at that age my grandma didn't whoop my ass for singing. Not "Feel Like Makin Love" by bad company. I was beat half retarded for that one.
