RecCenter.com

I've been the lead designer on this project full time for 6 months, about a year on and off. I can't believe that the time is here where RecCenter is actually in beta.

I wan't to personally welcome you all to RecCenter. It's not your typical social networking site and it sure as hell isn't MySpace. First of all, we've made it pretty to look at and we have made the ease of use so much better. I could talk it up, but I won't bore you all with the logistics and inner most workings.

Like I mentioned, it's not your run of a mill social networking site. Here people can come together and share things about the music culture. Not into the music culture? Then share other things, it's RecCenter, we don't mind what you do. A rec-center (recreation center) is a fun place for people to hang out.

Of course "Beta" means there are still bugs to be worked out, and that is where you come in. We need your help to find out what our small team hasn't seen yet and also to hear suggestions from you. If anyone is a web/graphic designer, I challenge you to design out your profile with your best HTML/CSS and graphic skills. Who knows, we may knock on your door to get you to help us in the future.

If anyone has questions on just how to use our advanced customization section to make their profile completely their own, don't hesitate to ask. We are currently working on documentation of all the tags used in a RecCenter profile. In the meantime, if you are up for a challenge, I suggest you look at the source code and try from there.

Thanks again for trying out and using RecCenter. Good things come to those who wait; and I know a few of you all have been waiting for a while.
